Imagine if the right ppl had control of this board from the start (aka not ufu or Pluto Nash). Like the original free forums board which was fun by ufu. Remember how popular that was??? It was made right before gd was deleted (October 6th 2014 btw). There were even new people posting on there everyday. All the old gders moved there too even guys like falcon punch and withthegoodrice who btw were liked by riot. But imagine if that forum was ran by someone like ouroboros (aka someone normal who will not close the stupid forum b/c they are emotional). The first forum closure is what turned almost everyone off any non boards forums imo. Everyone saw the first forum died so fast and lost faith in any other forums to not close too... If we had a good admin steering is in the right direction from the start I seriously think we could have been some serious competition towards boards. Obv never steal all their users or anything but basically take traffic away. Maybe then they would be motivated to make their forum better or change their moderation rules. Not sure where I’m going w this but basically this ended up as a failure when it easily could not have been. How did we not realize Pluto Nash or ufu would be a horrible choice for admin??? We were all so young. I’m feeling nostalgic now, and by the way I would still fuck Rachel

Smile because it happened, even if it lasted longer everyone would grow up and lose interest. Ufu's wasnt super bad, it was hard for him to run the forum well anyways because he had his own life problems. The only reason GD on riots forums were thriving was because of the randoms that would post and end up joining the FEK circlejerk. Boards GD is still a thing but it's pretty awful now lol

If we started on IPB and stuck with Alesandriel or w/e her name is I'm p sure the forum would still be active today.
U guys refusing to just jump ship to the superior form platform is what killed GD I hate weeaboos.

Honestly, even with all the ups and Down's, i enjoyed this place (and the related places like gradius' Discord), and the whole community a whole lot. It gave me somewhere to express myself and be me (and i was always me, never a persona) until i was at the point in my life where i could truly open up to people i know in real life. Don't get me wrong, it was riddled with retards, but the back-and-forth was fun.
I miss it, but i miss it in the same way i miss high-school or 4chan raids on Tribal Wars - I appreciate and cherish those days and the memes that came from them, but know i could never go back to that, because i've moved on, and could never be who i was then.
I only visit when i get sentimental so go here to nostalgia-jerk or go to boards to shitpost for an hour to confuse the young whippersnappers.
I'm like this when i'm 25, oh god i'll be one of those old men that can't shut up about the "good old days"...hopefully a stroke gets me before then.
