It's because they already climbed as high as they could with their shitty copy paste hunter deck so they hope other people aren't trying in casual.

Yeah but they don't get anything out of it except the satisfaction of trying to ruin people's enjoyment. I have yet to lose to a hunter with my current deck (10-0 so far, 21-5 in total I think), it's just bizarre.

Jokes aside, it's because hunter is cheap, effective, and grinds ladder the fastest. Realistically though, it's because HS players have no heart for anyone other than themselves after losing to Control Warrior for the first time.
